The change we need...?

Well - its just a usual 'anti-incumbency' move to a more structured form of governance as the current structure gained complexity. So here is the simple stuff:
  1. The current photoblog you are on - longlivedeath.blogspot.com is moving to clicksbygs.blogspot.com
  2. The current text blog (linked on the side-bar - longlivedeath.rediffblogs.com) is moving to thoughtsbygs.blogspot.com (Yeah - rediff is really user-unfriendly!)
  3. A new blog dedicated to unadulterated reviews of books and movies is now open (with its first entry) at reviewsbygs.blogspot.com

From the change we need to the change we did - see you at clicksbygs.blogspot.com while the archives stay here!

Adios

Let there be light...!

In this season of financial 'diwalas (bankruptcy)', may this festive season fill your life with light of hope and prosperity. Happy Diwali - and may God save your firm from amoral I-bankers! :-)
Love and light to all!

Mera Gaon - Mera Culture...!

A long mid-afternoon break being taken by the bulls of my native village!
Now I know why I get those urges of Afternoon Siesta on work-days, esp. given that my work is similar to that of the morning "ablutions" of these Bulls... well, almost!
:-)

Gently flows river Sarayu...!

... at the green and serene banks of my ancestral village -

Out here - we are Stoned Immaculate!

Local legend goes:
"A long long time ago, I can still remember,
how that music used to make me smile,
...
...
But something hardened deep inside,
The day, the muuusic, diiieeeeeed!"

Communion with a cloud!

And this is what he had to say:
"I searched for form and land,
Years and years I roamed,
I gazed a gazeless stare,
We walked a million hills --
I must have died alone,
A long long time ago.
Who knows, not me,
I never lost control,
Youre face, to face,
With the man who sold the world."

A view of Zion (the utopian land)...

... as opposed to its synonym "Sion" - known for the famous Mumbai water-loggings!

Jaane kahan woh duniya hai...!?

Well - woh duniya hai bas 2 ghante door -- khandala mein!
:-)
The view of Khandala ghats in the rainy month of July

The Wall... n Roses!

Flushing Meadows - 2008

The time is right - and the grass is green,
the game is set, the match is to begin,
Federer is rusty - has lost his sheen,
Who rules it this time - Nadal or Safin?
(Apologies for cheap limericks - reference is to the US open 2008)

Mirror-Mirror on the wall...

... Who is the 'fairest' of them all!?
:-)

Tea-cup in a Storm?

The Oh-so pure smell of sand,
of rinsed sky, and of rinsed land!

Final Fantasy X

"kahin to - kahin to - hogi vo - duniya jahan tu mere saath hai...
Jahan main - jahan tu - aur jahan - bas tere mere jasbaat hain!"
- An under-advertised good song from "Jaane Tu"
About the Photograph:
Characters Yuna and Tidus from the game Final Fantasy X - the extracts of which have been used in music videos of "You're Beautiful" (James Blunt) and "In the end" (Linkin Park). Something about these characters gives me an impression of 'purest form of bliss' - weird that I cannot actually trace the reason of association!!

Rahman's creative genius is manifested again in the music of "jaane tu... ya jaane na". Refreshing and youthful are the words that describe this beautiful piece of work. Special recommendations - 'Kabhie Kabhi aditi' and 'Nazrein Milana, Nazrein Churana'.
